Meet the Founders

Meet the Founders: Chris and Mia
We didn’t just start a business; we built twelve years of "street-smart" expertise from the ground up. It began in an Oakville high school classroom, where Chris drafted a business plan for an authentic Italian café. While most saw a graded assignment, we saw a blueprint for our future. That spark led us to business school and eventually across New York and Italy to master the technical craft of gelato under the world’s best chefs.
In 2014, that plan became a reality when we opened La Dolce Vita on Lakeshore Road West. Mia joined at the launch to lead the shop’s daily operations, turning that initial vision into a living, breathing community staple. Together, we grew a "hidden treasure" by Tannery Park into an Oakville landmark with over 100 rotating flavors and a reputation for excellence.
The "Behind-the-Scenes" Reality
Behind the scenes of every successful Saturday rush was a relentless learning curve. We spent over a decade in the trenches navigating the rising costs of Ontario sourcing, the complexities of industrial refrigeration, and the delicate balance of maintaining artisan quality while scaling for growth. We learned firsthand that while passion gets the doors open, operational efficiency and digital systems are what keep the lights on—and the owners sane.
A New Chapter in Consulting
Today, we are blending our two perspectives—Chris’s strategic planning and Mia’s hands-on operational mastery—to help other founders skip the expensive mistakes we learned the hard way.
We specialize in helping Cafes, Bakeries, and Creameries transition from "owner-operator burnout" to "systematized profit." Whether you are navigating the nuances of a completely plant-based menu or looking to automate your scheduling and inventory to reclaim your time, we provide the technical and digital roadmap to get you there.
We aren’t just consultants with spreadsheets; we are peers who have lived through the 11:00 PM inventory checks and the pressure of high-overhead leases. Our mission is to help the next generation of Ontario’s specialty shops turn their "busy" days into "profitable" years.
